Call for Papers

With the recent advances in video coding and the expansion of network capacity, video streaming over networks has become a reality. However, the performance of current systems is still far from satisfactory. Users experience fluctuating video quality when streaming video over a best-effort network like the Internet.

The purpose of this session is to bring together researchers from both video coding and networking, and to present new, innovative approaches to high-performance video streaming solutions over networks.

High quality submissions in the area of video transmission over networks are requested. Sub-topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Quality-of-service for video transmission over networks
  • Rate-adaptation for video transmission over networks
  • Layered video coding and multicast transmission
  • Video streaming over peer-to-peer networks
  • Video streaming over wireless networks
